Two killed in Russian strikes on Ukraine's Kherson region Tuesday

Russian strikes killed two people in the Kherson region Tuesday, including a 57-year-old man who died from injuries sustained when a strike hit a bus. Photo Courtesy of Oleksandr Prokudin

Russian strikes in the Kherson region killed two people and injured a third Tuesday, according to Ukrainian officials.

Separately, a strike on a trolleybus in Kherson killed one person and injured another.

“Russian troops fired at a trolleybus near Kherson. Two passengers were injured — men, 33 and 57 years old.,” Kherson regional military head Oleksandr Prokudin posted on Telegram Tuesday.

The 57-year-old victim later died in the hospital.

According to Prokudin, the city was hit 13 times and three people were killed across the Kherson region over the previous day.

Prokudin also said emergency services were battling fires that broke out in buildings as a result of the Russian strikes.

Additionally, an ambulance that was treating wounded people in Mykolaivka came under fire from Russian forces on Monday.
