At least 20 people are dead after a bus caught fire following a collision with a motorcycle in southeastern India on Friday, according to reports.

The incident involving a Kaveri Travels bus carrying 41 people occurred in the Andhra Pradesh district of Kurnool, located about 328 miles east of Goa, Indian Express and The Times of India reported.

“The loss of lives in a tragic bus fire accident in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, is deeply unfortunate,” Indian President Droupadi Murmu said in a statement on X.
